Deputy House Manager role in Minehead, Somerset. Lead and support students with learning disabilities.

The Opportunity:
As a Deputy House Manager, you will play a key role in creating a safe and supportive environment for students. This leadership position requires strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support your team to deliver high-quality care and support to students.
- Manage and promote positive student behaviour while ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
- Work closely with the House Team Leader to maintain the highest professional standards.
- Guide and support Learning Support Practitioners in your house.
- Deliver training and personal development opportunities tailored to students’ needs.
- Collaborate with other Deputy House Managers to ensure consistent student support.
- Ensure the health and welfare of students are prioritised in all aspects of the role.
- Provide leadership during shift work, including weekends and sleep-ins.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Level 2 in Maths and English (or willingness to work towards).
- Experience in safeguarding and supporting people with learning difficulties.
- Ability to work flexible shift patterns, including weekends and sleep-ins.
Preferred
- Level 3 in Elklan, Health & Social Care, or Education & Training.
- Proactive approach and willingness to undertake training.
