As a Deputy Houseparent, you will play a vital role in supporting students’ well-being, personal growth, and academic success within a close-knit community. Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students in their daily lives, ensuring their well-being and academic progress
  • Work closely with Houseparents to create a positive and inclusive house community
  • Foster a sense of belonging and encourage personal development through mentorship and guidance
  • Assist in organizing and managing house activities and events
  • Provide pastoral care and support to students in both academic and personal challenges
  • Collaborate with academic and pastoral teams to ensure a consistent and nurturing environment
  • Promote a culture of responsibility, independence, and mutual respect among students
  • Contribute to the overall success of the boarding program through proactive and compassionate leadership

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience working with young people in a pastoral or residential setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Commitment to student well-being and character development
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Flexibility and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and during school breaks

Preferred

  • Experience in a boarding or residential school environment
  • Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures
  • Experience with international students or in a multicultural setting
  • Previous experience in a leadership or mentoring role
  • Familiarity with the IB or similar international curriculum
