As a Deputy Houseparent, you will play a vital role in supporting students’ well-being, personal growth, and academic success within a close-knit community. Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in their daily lives, ensuring their well-being and academic progress
- Work closely with Houseparents to create a positive and inclusive house community
- Foster a sense of belonging and encourage personal development through mentorship and guidance
- Assist in organizing and managing house activities and events
- Provide pastoral care and support to students in both academic and personal challenges
- Collaborate with academic and pastoral teams to ensure a consistent and nurturing environment
- Promote a culture of responsibility, independence, and mutual respect among students
- Contribute to the overall success of the boarding program through proactive and compassionate leadership
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience working with young people in a pastoral or residential setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Commitment to student well-being and character development
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Flexibility and willingness to work evenings, weekends, and during school breaks
Preferred
- Experience in a boarding or residential school environment
- Knowledge of child protection and safeguarding procedures
- Experience with international students or in a multicultural setting
- Previous experience in a leadership or mentoring role
- Familiarity with the IB or similar international curriculum
