The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Design and Technology Teacher to join a thriving department and inspire students across all key stages. Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning across all key stages, ensuring student progress and attainment.
  • Design and implement engaging lessons that incorporate both practical and graphics-based projects.
  • Support students in developing strong technical drawing, CAD/CAM, and practical making skills.
  • Collaborate with the Curriculum Leader and department colleagues to enhance departmental performance.
  • Use ongoing assessment and feedback to monitor and support student progress effectively.
  • Promote a love for Design and Technology through creative and innovative teaching methods.
  • Contribute to the school’s commitment to whole-person development and extracurricular enrichment.
  • Participate in professional development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Design and Technology.
  • Strong understanding of the GCSE and A-Level Product Design curriculum.
  • Confident teaching across the full ability range and key stages.
  • Proficient in CAD/CAM, practical making, and technical drawing.
  • Ability to plan and deliver high-quality, creative lessons.

Preferred

  • Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
  • Background in delivering workshop-based and graphics-focused projects.
  • Commitment to whole-person development and extracurricular involvement.
  • Experience in a Catholic school or willingness to support a Catholic ethos.
