Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Design and Technology lessons across Key Stages.
  • Support students in developing practical skills and creativity.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to raise achievement and improve student outcomes.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the subject and incorporate new teaching methods.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extra-curricular activities and pastoral care.
  • Provide regular feedback to students and monitor their progress effectively.
  • Participate in departmental planning and curriculum development.
  • Maintain a safe and stimulating learning environment for all students.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Design and Technology.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to teach across Key Stages.
  • Commitment to student achievement and personal development.
  • Experience in a school setting, ideally within a Catholic environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
  • Knowledge of current trends and developments in Design and Technology.
  • Experience with pastoral care and student support.
  • Experience in a Teaching School or similar setting.
