Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Design and Technology lessons using a range of teaching strategies and resources.
- Implement Assessment for Learning (AfL) techniques to improve student performance and achievement.
- Use student data effectively to identify areas for development and raise standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and support departmental goals.
- Maintain high expectations for student behavior and academic performance.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Support the delivery of Key Stage 3 and 4 qualifications in Design and Technology and Hospitality and Catering.
- Utilize modern teaching tools and technology to enhance learning and engagement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree in an appropriate subject area (Food or Resistant Materials).
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching experience.
- Experience in assessment at Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Proficiency in using standard computer packages for teaching and administrative tasks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student welfare and safeguarding.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering vocational and academic qualifications in Design and Technology.
- Experience with innovative teaching methods and curriculum development.
- A passion for inspiring students and fostering a love of learning.
