The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in Design and Technology across all key stages.
- Support the development and implementation of the curriculum, ensuring it is up-to-date and aligned with the school’s vision.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages creativity and innovation.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to departmental planning and development.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to ensure continuous improvement.
- Participate in the school’s continuous professional development programme and contribute to staff training and development.
- Engage with parents and the wider school community to support student learning and achievement.
- Uphold the school’s values, including safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Design and Technology.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Experience in working within a school environment that values high standards and continuous professional development.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and take on additional responsibilities where required.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering cross-curricular projects or integrating technology into teaching.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language or working in diverse student populations.
- Previous leadership or mentoring experience within a school setting.
- Familiarity with industry-standard design and technology tools and software.
