The Opportunity:
Join a forward-thinking institution as a Design Teacher and help establish a new Digital and Product Design programme. This role offers the chance to build a creative learning space and inspire students aged 11–16 through hands-on, inquiry-based design projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and delivery of a new Digital and Product Design programme within the IB MYP framework.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary, creative, and sustainable learning experiences.
- Guide the setup of a fully equipped design studio, including tools, equipment, and layout.
- Inspire students through practical, hands-on projects that develop problem-solving and technical skills.
- Contribute to the broader creative life of the school, including clubs, trips, and community initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A degree in Design, Product Design, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience teaching design or technology, preferably in an international or inquiry-based context.
- Proficiency with digital design tools such as CAD/CAM, 3D printing, and design software.
- Strong ability to engage and inspire students, fostering curiosity, resilience, and craftsmanship.
Preferred
- Experience with the IB MYP framework.
- Background in collaborative, cross-disciplinary teaching.
- Interest in outdoor learning and experiential education.
