Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Design & Technology and Food Technology, aligned with the school’s curriculum and policies.
  • Manage classroom activities effectively, ensuring a safe and stimulating learning environment.
  • Set clear learning objectives and differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
  • Assess student progress regularly and use this data to inform future teaching and learning.
  • Support students with Special Educational Needs through targeted interventions and collaboration with the SENCO.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide policies and procedures.
  • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and appraisal processes.
  • Maintain strong relationships with parents and keep them informed of student progress.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with experience in Design & Technology and Food Technology.
  • Familiarity with the Teachers’ Standards and the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet curriculum requirements.
  • Experience in supporting students with Special Educational Needs.

Preferred

  • Experience in teaching across multiple ability bands.
  • Background in curriculum development or enrichment activities.
  • Experience with behaviour management strategies.
  • Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
