Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Design & Technology and Food Technology, aligned with the school’s curriculum and policies.
- Manage classroom activities effectively, ensuring a safe and stimulating learning environment.
- Set clear learning objectives and differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
- Assess student progress regularly and use this data to inform future teaching and learning.
- Support students with Special Educational Needs through targeted interventions and collaboration with the SENCO.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of school-wide policies and procedures.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and appraisal processes.
- Maintain strong relationships with parents and keep them informed of student progress.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with experience in Design & Technology and Food Technology.
- Familiarity with the Teachers’ Standards and the School Teachers’ Pay and Conditions Document.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet curriculum requirements.
- Experience in supporting students with Special Educational Needs.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching across multiple ability bands.
- Background in curriculum development or enrichment activities.
- Experience with behaviour management strategies.
- Commitment to professional development and continuous improvement.
