The Opportunity:
A Design Technology Teacher (Fixed Term) is needed to inspire and educate students in a dynamic, state-of-the-art learning environment. This role plays a key part in shaping the next generation of creative thinkers and problem solvers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging Design Technology lessons aligned with the school’s rigorous curriculum.
- Foster a creative and inclusive classroom environment that encourages innovation and critical thinking.
- Support students in developing practical skills and knowledge across a range of Design Technology disciplines.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and share best approaches.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support learning and development.
- Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to the school’s culture of continuous improvement.
- Maintain a safe and stimulating learning space with up-to-date resources and equipment.
- Engage with students and parents to support learning and promote the value of Design Technology.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant Design Technology experience.
- Strong subject knowledge in Design Technology, including food technology.
- Ability to plan and deliver high-quality lessons that meet curriculum standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or mentoring other teachers.
- Familiarity with digital tools and innovative teaching methods.
- Experience with Teaching and Learning Responsibility (TLR) roles.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to the wider school community.
