The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality lessons in Design & Technology, with a focus on Resistant Materials.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and creativity.
- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support student learning and achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school and within the River Learning Trust to share best practice and support professional development.
- Participate in the school’s bespoke CPDL programme, including opportunities for master’s courses, NPQs, and other professional learning initiatives.
- Maintain a well-resourced classroom with Clevertouch interactive screens and Chromebooks.
- Support the school’s vision and ethos by contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and student success.
- Engage in extracurricular activities and school events that promote the value of Design & Technology.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Design & Technology.
- Ability to teach Resistant Materials.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to student well-being and academic achievement.
- Experience in delivering high-quality, engaging lessons.
Preferred
- Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
- Background in educational research or innovation in teaching practice.
- Experience with CPDL programmes or leadership in teaching and learning.
- Familiarity with the River Learning Trust and its educational principles.
