The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in Design & Technology, with a focus on Resistant Materials.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and creativity.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support student learning and achievement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the school and within the River Learning Trust to share best practice and support professional development.
  • Participate in the school’s bespoke CPDL programme, including opportunities for master’s courses, NPQs, and other professional learning initiatives.
  • Maintain a well-resourced classroom with Clevertouch interactive screens and Chromebooks.
  • Support the school’s vision and ethos by contributing to a culture of continuous improvement and student success.
  • Engage in extracurricular activities and school events that promote the value of Design & Technology.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Design & Technology.
  • Ability to teach Resistant Materials.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student well-being and academic achievement.
  • Experience in delivering high-quality, engaging lessons.

Preferred

  • Experience in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
  • Background in educational research or innovation in teaching practice.
  • Experience with CPDL programmes or leadership in teaching and learning.
  • Familiarity with the River Learning Trust and its educational principles.
