Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons for GCSE and IB Design & Technology courses.
- Foster creativity, innovation, and critical thinking through practical and theoretical learning experiences.
- Guide students in developing technical, design, and analytical skills using a range of tools, technologies, and digital platforms.
- Prepare students for internal and external assessments, ensuring high levels of academic achievement.
- Provide individualized support and feedback to help students reach their full potential.
- Contribute to the development of the Design & Technology curriculum and departmental resources.
- Support extracurricular activities and projects that enhance the profile of Design & Technology within the school.
- Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support interdisciplinary learning and whole-school initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent).
- A degree in Design & Technology, Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- At least 2–3 years of teaching experience, ideally in international or British-curriculum schools.
- Proven track record of teaching GCSE and/or IB Design & Technology.
- Experience preparing students for external examinations.
- Strong knowledge of design processes, engineering principles, and practical application of technology.
Preferred
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
- Familiarity with international curricula such as Cambridge International and IB.
- Ability to use a variety of teaching methods to engage and motivate students.
