The Opportunity:
Join a dynamic team as a Design Technology Teacher - IB MYP, delivering high-quality education aligned with American Common Core Standards and Advance Placement. This role plays a key part in shaping student innovation and technical skills in a progressive and supportive academic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and innovative Design Technology and Product Design lessons aligned with IB-MYP and American Common Core Standards.
- Integrate cutting-edge technology into teaching and learning to enhance student engagement and outcomes.
- Develop and implement inclusive lesson plans that support students with diverse learning needs, including SEND and EAL.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver a well-rounded curriculum that fosters creativity and problem-solving.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to ensure continuous improvement.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the ongoing development of the school’s academic programs.
- Support and mentor students in extracurricular activities related to design and technology.
- Maintain accurate records and report student progress to parents and colleagues.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Design Technology with a specialism in Product Design.
- A recognized teaching certification (Teaching license, PGCE, Teaching Diploma, etc.).
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant teaching experience at high-performing international schools.
- Commitment to academic excellence and inclusive education.
Preferred
- A Master’s Degree in Education.
- Experience with IB-MYP and American Common Core Standards.
- Demonstrable experience in Inclusion/SEND/EAL.
- Strong Continuing Professional Development (CPD) portfolio.
- Additional relevant professional qualifications in design technology or education.
