The Opportunity:

Join a dynamic team as a Design Technology Teacher - IB MYP, delivering high-quality education aligned with American Common Core Standards and Advance Placement. This role plays a key part in shaping student innovation and technical skills in a progressive and supportive academic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative Design Technology and Product Design lessons aligned with IB-MYP and American Common Core Standards.
  • Integrate cutting-edge technology into teaching and learning to enhance student engagement and outcomes.
  • Develop and implement inclusive lesson plans that support students with diverse learning needs, including SEND and EAL.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and deliver a well-rounded curriculum that fosters creativity and problem-solving.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the ongoing development of the school’s academic programs.
  • Support and mentor students in extracurricular activities related to design and technology.
  • Maintain accurate records and report student progress to parents and colleagues.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Design Technology with a specialism in Product Design.
  • A recognized teaching certification (Teaching license, PGCE, Teaching Diploma, etc.).
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant teaching experience at high-performing international schools.
  • Commitment to academic excellence and inclusive education.

Preferred

  • A Master’s Degree in Education.
  • Experience with IB-MYP and American Common Core Standards.
  • Demonstrable experience in Inclusion/SEND/EAL.
  • Strong Continuing Professional Development (CPD) portfolio.
  • Additional relevant professional qualifications in design technology or education.
