Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver well-planned, stimulating lessons that spark curiosity and build confidence in pupils.
- Support pupils of all abilities to make strong progress in Design Technology.
- Create a calm, purposeful environment where pupils feel safe, supported, and ready to learn.
- Collaborate with colleagues and families to ensure a consistent and positive approach to teaching and learning.
- Work within a vibrant, forward-thinking Design Technology department that values creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and incorporate innovative teaching methods into lessons.
- Contribute to the wider life and ethos of the school through extra-curricular activities and community engagement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status.
- Degree in a relevant subject.
- Experience of teaching at Key Stage 3 and 4.
- Proven ability to deliver engaging and well-planned lessons.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
Preferred
- Food specialism in Design Technology.
- Experience with Teaching English as a Second Language.
- Background in a forward-thinking educational environment.
