The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Design Technology Teacher to join our dedicated faculty. This role offers the chance to inspire and support students in developing their creativity and technical skills in 3D Design and Engineering at KS4. The position is ideal for both experienced and newly qualified teachers looking to make an impact in a supportive and progressive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality lessons in 3D Design and Engineering to Key Stage 4 students.
  • Develop and maintain a safe, engaging, and stimulating workshop environment.
  • Support students in achieving their full potential through individualized and differentiated teaching.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the Design & Technology curriculum and student outcomes.
  • Monitor and assess student progress using a range of assessment strategies.
  • Participate in staff development and professional learning opportunities.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities and events.
  • Ensure compliance with safeguarding and child protection policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant subject knowledge in Design & Technology.
  • Experience teaching at Key Stage 4, preferably in 3D Design and Engineering.
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality, inclusive teaching and learning.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience with CAD software or other digital design tools.
  • Background in continuous professional development and evidence-based teaching practices.
  • Experience working in a multi-academy trust or similar educational setting.
  • Experience with safeguarding and child protection procedures.
