The Opportunity:

A school is seeking a passionate and experienced Design & Technology Teacher for Key Stage 2 and 3. Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons aligned with the National Curriculum of England for Key Stage 2 and 3.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to build a comprehensive and innovative Design & Technology programme from the ground up.
  • Support students in developing practical skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
  • Participate in continuous professional development and training opportunities provided by the school.
  • Assist with pastoral responsibilities, including Form Tutoring, where applicable.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in Design & Technology education.
  • Contribute to the school’s mission of inspiring education in a caring community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Design & Technology for Key Stage 2 and 3.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum of England frameworks for Design & Technology.
  • Fluency in English with a strong grasp of grammar and usage.
  • Proven ability to meet the needs of Primary and younger Secondary learners.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.

Preferred

  • Experience with Form Tutoring.
  • Background in curriculum development or programme building.
  • Familiarity with IGCSE and IB qualifications.
  • Experience in continuous professional development and teacher training.
