The Opportunity:
A school is seeking a passionate and experienced Design & Technology Teacher for Key Stage 2 and 3. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons aligned with the National Curriculum of England for Key Stage 2 and 3.
- Collaborate with colleagues to build a comprehensive and innovative Design & Technology programme from the ground up.
- Support students in developing practical skills, creativity, and problem-solving abilities.
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Participate in continuous professional development and training opportunities provided by the school.
- Assist with pastoral responsibilities, including Form Tutoring, where applicable.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in Design & Technology education.
- Contribute to the school’s mission of inspiring education in a caring community.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with relevant experience in Design & Technology for Key Stage 2 and 3.
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum of England frameworks for Design & Technology.
- Fluency in English with a strong grasp of grammar and usage.
- Proven ability to meet the needs of Primary and younger Secondary learners.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
Preferred
- Experience with Form Tutoring.
- Background in curriculum development or programme building.
- Familiarity with IGCSE and IB qualifications.
- Experience in continuous professional development and teacher training.
