Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging MYP Design Technology units that align with the IB framework.
  • Guide students through the design cycle, from problem identification to solution evaluation.
  • Create and maintain a safe, organized, and inclusive classroom and workshop environment.
  • Model and enforce health and safety protocols when using tools, equipment, and digital technologies.
  • Foster creativity, innovation, and resilience in a hands-on, project-based learning environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary projects and school initiatives.
  • Integrate digital tools, fabrication methods, and sustainable practices into learning experiences.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to support student success.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Technology Education, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Valid teaching qualification/certification recognized internationally.
  • Experience teaching MYP Design Technology or similar inquiry-based, project-based curricula.
  • Proficiency with digital tools, fabrication technologies (3D printing, laser cutting, robotics, coding), and design software.
  • Demonstrated understanding of health and safety protocols in design/technology environments.
  • Strong intercultural competence and ability to work with diverse student populations.
  • Commitment to student-centered, inclusive, and innovative pedagogy.

Preferred

  • IB MYP training and/or experience in international schools.
  • Ability to contribute to extracurricular programs (e.g., robotics, coding, digital media, sustainability).
  • Interest in service learning and connecting design projects to authentic community needs.
  • Collaborative, flexible, and growth-oriented mindset.
