The Opportunity:

As a Development Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the school’s fundraising efforts. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the school’s mission by managing donor records, processing gifts, and assisting with events. Your work will directly support the school’s ability to provide high-quality education and resources for its students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain donor records using the Raiser’s Edge system or a similar platform.
  • Process gifts and donations efficiently and accurately.
  • Support the planning and execution of fundraising events.
  • Conduct research to identify potential donors and support fundraising campaigns.
  • Collaborate with the Development Office team to ensure smooth operations.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and other documentation related to fundraising activities.
  • Provide administrative support to the Development team as required.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection and donor privacy policies.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Experience using a fundraising database or similar software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Previous experience in the education or charitable sectors.
  • Experience with Raiser’s Edge or similar fundraising management systems.
  • Knowledge of fundraising principles and donor engagement strategies.
  • Experience in event planning or coordination.
