The Opportunity:

As a Development Manager, you will play a key role in inspiring a culture of philanthropy and driving the success of the school's 150th Anniversary Appeal. This is a unique opportunity to build strong relationships with stakeholders and enhance donor engagement across the school community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop donor relationships across stakeholder groups to secure the success of the ‘Funding the Future’ 150th Anniversary Appeal
  • Grow donor engagement through strategic communications and events
  • Develop regular giving and legacy fundraising schemes
  • Encourage alumni engagement to support the school’s further education and careers offering
  • Build on existing communications and events programme to strengthen alumni and school connections
  • Support the Director of Development and wider team in achieving fundraising goals
  • Manage additional hours as required, including event support, with time off in lieu
  • Work flexible hours, predominantly during term time, with additional days in school holidays

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Experience in fundraising, preferably within an independent school or charity
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to develop and implement donor engagement strategies
  • Commitment to the school’s mission and values
  • Flexibility to work part-time and term-time only

Preferred

  • Experience with major gift fundraising or legacy planning
  • Background in managing events or communications campaigns
  • Knowledge of donor management systems or CRM software
  • Experience in working with alumni networks

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range from £32,977 to £39,083 per annum
