The Opportunity:

As a Digital Media Teacher, you will deliver creative, engaging lessons in Digital Media, IT, and Computing. You will inspire students to develop practical skills, confidence, and a passion for technology while supporting their personal and academic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver a broad, balanced curriculum in Digital Media, Creative Technologies, and IT/Computing
  • Design learning experiences that encourage creative expression and digital communication
  • Use adaptive teaching methods to support diverse learning needs and ensure student engagement
  • Create an inclusive classroom environment that promotes creativity, exploration, and self-confidence
  • Contribute to the development of a flexible curriculum aligned with school vision and educational frameworks
  • Deliver project-based learning with clear real-world and employability links
  • Support students in achieving qualifications such as Functional Skills, GCSEs, and BTEC media courses
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive, motivating feedback
  • Build positive, trusting relationships that support student wellbeing and personal development

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent experience)
  • Experience teaching Digital Media, IT, or Computing
  • Understanding of Functional Skills, GCSE, and BTEC pathways
  • Ability to deliver inclusive and adaptive teaching to meet diverse needs
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to student-centred practice

Preferred

  • Experience working with students with autism or social and emotional needs
  • Familiarity with project-based and applied learning approaches
  • Experience with digital tools and creative technologies
