The Opportunity:

As a Director of Behaviour and Attendance, you will play a key role in driving improvements in pupil behaviour and attendance across a range of school settings. This role will have a significant impact on reducing lost learning and supporting school improvement across multiple academies. You will work closely with senior leaders to shape strategy and influence positive change.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support academies in developing effective behaviour and attendance strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with Headteachers and senior leaders to improve school culture and outcomes.
  • Provide expert advice based on statutory guidance and legislation.
  • Use data and evaluative activities to shape school improvement strategies.
  • Influence the professional development of school leaders and colleagues.
  • Monitor and report on attendance and behaviour outcomes across academies.
  • Support the implementation of initiatives that reduce lost learning and improve student engagement.
  • Contribute to the Trust’s social inclusion strategy and overall improvement goals.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in senior leadership roles within education.
  • Demonstrable success in improving pupil behaviour and attendance outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of statutory guidance and legislation related to behaviour and attendance.
  • Experience working across mainstream and special school settings.
  • Ability to influence and support school leaders at all levels.
  • Strong data analysis and evaluation skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in multi-academy trusts or similar educational organisations.
  • Background in school improvement and leadership development.
  • Experience with data-driven decision-making in education.
  • Familiarity with the Co-operative Group values and principles.
