The Opportunity:

As the Director of Curriculum and Assessment, you will lead the development and implementation of a high-quality, impactful curriculum for a large group of schools. This role is pivotal in shaping the learning experience of thousands of pupils, ensuring alignment with future national standards and the evolving digital landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and oversee the vision, strategy, and implementation of the United Curriculum across the group.
  • Lead a team of curriculum and assessment specialists, ensuring alignment with educational goals and school improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with subject improvement teams and digital experts to enhance the relevance and effectiveness of curriculum resources.
  • Evaluate and refine curriculum and assessment materials to ensure they meet the needs of schools and pupils.
  • Support schools in delivering a high-quality education, with a focus on teacher flexibility and pupil outcomes.
  • Ensure curriculum materials remain current, incorporating advancements in technology and pedagogy.
  • Disseminate curriculum and assessment resources to schools both within and outside the group.
  • Work closely with the Transformation Department to maximize the impact of curriculum and assessment initiatives.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in curriculum development and assessment.
  • Strong understanding of national curriculum frameworks and educational standards.
  • Experience managing and leading a team of education specialists.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement large-scale educational strategies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred

  • Experience with curriculum design in a multi-academy trust or similar organization.
  • Knowledge of digital learning tools and AI integration in education.
  • Background in school improvement and teacher support initiatives.
  • Experience in developing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programmes.
