The Opportunity:
As the Director of Curriculum - Quantitative Disciplines, you will lead the development and delivery of the curriculum in Mathematics, Business, Design & Technology, and Computer Science. This role is pivotal in driving academic excellence, improving student outcomes, and inspiring both staff and students through innovative teaching and leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enhance curriculum knowledge through weekly subject CPD and co-planning sessions.
- Line manage staff and foster positive relationships with stakeholders, promoting diversity and inclusivity.
- Analyse student progress data and ensure targets are met or exceeded.
- Deliver high-quality teaching and ensure the consistent implementation of the curriculum.
- Monitor and evaluate progress, providing feedback to support continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and the ability to teach Mathematics to GCSE level.
- Extensive leadership experience within a secondary school setting.
- Proven ability to improve student outcomes and teaching quality.
- Strong subject knowledge and the ability to model and coach outstanding practice.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and motivate others.
Preferred
- Experience in leading a Curriculum Area in a quantitative discipline.
- Ability to take on an additional whole-school responsibility such as Careers or Enrichment.
- Proven ability to collaborate with other leaders and external partners.
