The Opportunity:

As the Director of Curriculum - Quantitative Disciplines, you will lead the development and delivery of the curriculum in Mathematics, Business, Design & Technology, and Computer Science. This role is pivotal in driving academic excellence, improving student outcomes, and inspiring both staff and students through innovative teaching and leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Enhance curriculum knowledge through weekly subject CPD and co-planning sessions.
  • Line manage staff and foster positive relationships with stakeholders, promoting diversity and inclusivity.
  • Analyse student progress data and ensure targets are met or exceeded.
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and ensure the consistent implementation of the curriculum.
  • Monitor and evaluate progress, providing feedback to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent and the ability to teach Mathematics to GCSE level.
  • Extensive leadership experience within a secondary school setting.
  • Proven ability to improve student outcomes and teaching quality.
  • Strong subject knowledge and the ability to model and coach outstanding practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust and motivate others.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading a Curriculum Area in a quantitative discipline.
  • Ability to take on an additional whole-school responsibility such as Careers or Enrichment.
  • Proven ability to collaborate with other leaders and external partners.
