As the Director of Football, you will lead the development of a world-class football programme, transforming girls’ football and building pathways for elite talent. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of football at a school with a strong tradition of sporting success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic football structure for Years 9–13 that balances participation and elite performance.
- Drive the growth of girls’ football to create a national-level programme within five years.
- Collaborate with the Admissions team to attract high-potential footballers and enhance the school’s profile.
- Establish professional pathways for elite talent while maintaining a strong, inclusive football culture.
- Leverage new facilities to create a center of excellence for football.
- Deliver high-quality coaching and mentorship to staff and students.
- Organise international and domestic tours and manage all football operations.
- Engage in pastoral duties as a Tutor within the school’s House system.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Proven experience in coaching and developing youth football talent.
- Strong leadership and strategic planning skills.
- Experience in managing sports programmes and budgets.
- Ability to build partnerships with professional clubs and educational institutions.
- Commitment to promoting sportsmanship and personal development.
Preferred
- Experience in leading girls’ football programmes.
- Background in working within an independent school or similar educational institution.
- Knowledge of US college recruitment and international football pathways.
- Experience in driving growth and innovation in sports departments.
