The Opportunity:

As the Director of Hockey, you will lead the strategic development and delivery of a dynamic hockey programme across both the Senior and Prep Schools. This is an exciting opportunity to drive growth, enhance performance, and promote hockey within the school and wider community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a high-quality hockey programme for both Senior and Prep Schools.
  • Coordinate fixtures and ensure smooth delivery of matches and training sessions.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sport, marketing, and admissions teams to promote hockey.
  • Support the development of players at all levels, focusing on skill, performance, and character.
  • Engage with local clubs and the wider hockey community to strengthen partnerships.
  • Manage the operational aspects of the hockey programme, including facilities and resources.
  • Ensure compliance with school policies and safeguarding procedures.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the sports department and its national performance standards.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in coaching and leading hockey programmes at senior level.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and develop players.
  • Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
  • Experience in working within a school or educational environment.

Preferred

  • Experience in programme development and strategic planning.
  • Background in working with both Senior and Prep age groups.
  • Familiarity with school operations and pastoral care systems.
  • Knowledge of sports marketing and community engagement strategies.
