The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the strategic direction of the school in alignment with its mission and vision.
  • Oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of the International Baccalaureate (IB) programmes.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive school culture that supports both students and staff.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with parents, students, and the wider community.
  • Ensure the school meets all accreditation and regulatory requirements.
  • Promote the school’s global identity and commitment to intercultural understanding.
  • Support the integration of new programmes, such as the Lehrplan 21 pathway.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to senior staff and the wider school community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in an international school setting.
  • Demonstrated success in managing and developing IB programmes.
  • Strong intercultural sensitivity and a commitment to fostering inclusive communities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A deep understanding of international education and school operations.

Preferred

  • Experience with dual-language or multilingual education.
  • Familiarity with Swiss education systems and the Lehrplan 21 programme.
  • Knowledge of global accreditation standards such as CIS and NEASC.
  • Experience in school development and strategic planning.
