Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the people strategy to align with the school’s vision and values.
  • Provide strategic leadership to the people function, ensuring organisational excellence and innovation.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and governors to shape a culture of inclusivity and high performance.
  • Foster professional development and staff engagement across the school community.
  • Support the implementation of new educational initiatives and curriculum reforms.
  • Drive cultural transformation and ensure a strong, supportive workplace environment.
  • Ensure the school’s people strategy supports its long-term goals and mission.
  • Partner with leadership to maintain a strong focus on staff well-being and retention.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven experience in senior HR leadership within the education sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic people strategies.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • Experience in driving cultural transformation and fostering inclusive workplaces.
  • Knowledge of educational innovation and curriculum reform.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading large-scale organisational change initiatives.
  • Background in education reform or curriculum development.
  • Experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Familiarity with bursary programmes and social mobility initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of the UK independent school sector.
