The Opportunity:

As the Director of Performing Arts, you will lead and shape the performing arts program at a school that values creativity, innovation, and excellence. This role is central to the school's mission of inspiring students through the arts and providing a transformative educational experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a dynamic, innovative performing arts curriculum.
  • Lead and manage a team of performing arts teachers and support staff.
  • Collaborate with other departments to integrate the arts into a broader educational experience.
  • Ensure the highest standards of performance and production in music, drama, and dance.
  • Utilize state-of-the-art facilities to enhance student engagement and achievement.
  • Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence among students and staff.

  • Represent the school at external events and engage with the wider arts community.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • UK qualified teacher with QTS or PGCE.
  • Proven leadership experience in a performing arts role.
  • Strong understanding of curriculum development and delivery.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring a team of educators.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

Preferred

  • Experience in a UK or international school setting.
  • Background in drama, music, or dance education.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching technologies.
  • Experience in producing large-scale performances or events.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills.
