The Opportunity:

As Director of Relationships and Growth, you will lead the strategic direction of Marketing, Admissions, and relationship management, driving long-term growth and stakeholder engagement. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the school’s market position and enhance its reputation through impactful leadership and collaboration across the institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a cohesive strategy for pupil recruitment, conversion, and retention.
  • Lead and oversee Marketing and Admissions operations to ensure alignment with the school’s vision and goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective families, alumni, partners, and feeder schools.
  • Enhance brand visibility and reputation through targeted engagement and communication initiatives.
  • Contribute to the school’s fundraising and development ambitions by fostering a culture of philanthropy and engagement.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure a joined-up approach to growth and stakeholder engagement.
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities for sustainable growth within the competitive education sector.
  • Support the school’s strategic planning and development through data-driven insights and stakeholder feedback.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in a senior role, preferably within education or a related sector.
  • Demonstrated success in driving growth, marketing, and stakeholder engagement strategies.
  • Strong understanding of admissions processes and pupil recruitment in the independent education sector.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and initiatives.

Preferred

  • Experience in fundraising or development work within a school or educational institution.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and social media engagement strategies.
  • Familiarity with the UK independent school sector and its unique challenges and opportunities.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and leading large-scale projects.
