As the Director of Sixth Form, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of one of the UK’s most vibrant and inclusive Sixth Form communities. This is an opportunity to lead with vision, drive strategic development, and inspire students to achieve academic and personal success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement an ambitious annual improvement plan for the Sixth Form
  • Oversee academic management, pastoral care, and co-curricular programmes
  • Promote academic excellence alongside student wellbeing and enrichment
  • Support recruitment and retention of high-achieving students
  • Deliver a compelling vision for the Sixth Form and ensure strong higher education application support
  • Lead and motivate a diverse team of staff and students
  • Articulate and drive the strategic direction of the Sixth Form in line with the school’s five-year plan
  • Ensure all students are well prepared for life beyond school

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Proven leadership experience in a senior educational role
  • Demonstrated success in developing and leading a Sixth Form
  • Strong academic background and experience in teaching
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students and staff
  • Commitment to inclusion, opportunity, and student wellbeing

Preferred

  • Experience in strategic planning and implementation
  • Familiarity with IB or A Level qualifications
  • Experience in higher education application support
  • Leadership experience within a co-educational setting
  • Background in pastoral care and student support
