The Opportunity:

As the Director of Studies, Secondary, you will lead and support the academic direction of the school's Secondary program. You will work closely with teachers, students, and parents to ensure a high-quality education that prepares students for success in university and beyond. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the academic direction of the Secondary School program
  • Support and develop the teaching staff through professional development and mentorship
  • Monitor and evaluate academic performance to ensure continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with the Head of Sixth Form to enhance the learning experience for senior students
  • Ensure alignment with the United Kingdom curriculum and school values
  • Foster strong relationships with parents and the wider school community
  • Implement and oversee innovative teaching practices and technologies
  • Provide guidance and support to students to help them achieve their academic goals

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor Honours Degree in Education or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an educational leadership role
  • Strong knowledge of the United Kingdom curriculum for Secondary education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a team of educators effectively

Preferred

  • Experience in an international school setting
  • Familiarity with Spanish education systems and cultural contexts
  • Experience with A-level courses and higher education preparation
  • Strong understanding of student welfare and pastoral care
