The Opportunity:
As a Domestic Assistant, you will contribute to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and order in both the Junior and Senior Schools. This role is essential in supporting the school’s mission to provide a safe, welcoming, and inspiring environment for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and maintain designated areas of the Junior and Senior Schools to the highest standard.
- Ensure all facilities are kept tidy, safe, and in good working condition.
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of classrooms, common areas, and other spaces as required.
- Work collaboratively with the Domestic Services team to deliver consistent and professional service.
- Follow all health and safety procedures, including the use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Participate in training and safeguarding sessions as required.
- Support the school during special events and holidays as needed.
- Report any maintenance or safety issues to the Domestic Supervisor promptly.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Experience in cleaning or domestic services, preferably in an educational setting.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and school holidays.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility and willingness to work as part of a team.
Preferred
- Previous experience working in a school or similar environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Experience with the use of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Safeguarding training or willingness to complete it.
