The Opportunity:

We are seeking a passionate and inspiring Drama Teacher to join our Secondary School team. This role involves delivering a dynamic and innovative drama curriculum that encourages creativity, confidence, and a lifelong love of the performing arts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver an engaging drama and theatre curriculum for Secondary students.
  • Foster a love of performance and creative arts through innovative teaching methods.
  • Contribute to the extracurricular programme, including theatre productions and arts events.
  • Support students in achieving excellent results in GCSE and IB Drama examinations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Performance, Art & Design Faculty.
  • Participate in the school’s pastoral system as a tutor or support tutor.
  • Stay up to date with current trends and developments in drama education.
  • Encourage student leadership and creativity through drama-based activities.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A degree in Theatre, Drama, or a relevant subject.
  • A recognised teaching qualification.
  • Proven experience in teaching Drama and Theatre across a range of ages.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire students and deliver engaging lessons.
  • A collaborative, innovative, and compassionate approach to teaching.
  • Commitment to the academic and pastoral life of the school.

Preferred

  • Experience teaching GCSE Drama or Theatre.
  • Experience teaching IB Diploma Theatre.
