The Opportunity:

As an Early Years Homeroom Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping young minds and supporting student learning, wellbeing, and safeguarding. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage student learning and safeguarding with a focus on continuous improvement and student progress.
  • Demonstrate expertise in curriculum delivery and apply differentiation strategies in the classroom.
  • Encourage concept-based inquiry and use varied assessments to reflect student learning.
  • Monitor and record student progress, ensuring accurate reporting through peer review and parent communication.
  • Ensure the safety and welfare of students and resources in your care.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in planning, reflection, and implementation of the IB curriculum.
  • Develop and implement stimulating classroom resources to enhance instruction and learning outcomes.
  • Supervise students during drop-off, after-school childcare, and break times.
  • Promote the IB Learner Profile and support students’ emotional, mental, and physical wellbeing.
  • Communicate regularly with parents through meetings, emails, and newsletters.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE / QTS / Teaching Licence)
  • Experience within an international IB School setting
  • Fluent in the English Language
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Commitment to student learning, wellbeing, and safeguarding

Preferred

  • EY/PYP training
  • Experience within an international school setting
  • Fluency in a second language (French is an advantage)
