The Opportunity:

As an Early Years Lead Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a stimulating and nurturing environment for Kindergarten children. You will support their personal, social, and educational development, ensuring they thrive in both term time and holiday club. Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and maintain an effective and stimulating learning environment indoors and outdoors.
  • Promote the personal and social development of Kindergarten children.
  • Ensure educational progress of children in line with the school’s aims and individual needs.
  • Provide clear and accurate reports on the ages and stages of pupils, including regular communication with parents through online learning journals.
  • Establish constructive relationships with parents and carers, supporting their involvement in their child’s learning.
  • Plan and deliver weekly guided activities that are engaging, challenging, and tailored to the learning needs of pupils.
  • Use innovative teaching strategies to motivate pupils and enable their progress.
  • Monitor pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Maintain accurate records of pupil development and progress.
  • Work within the school’s agreed behavior and discipline policy to manage behavior constructively.
  • Support children in developing confidence, resilience, and a lifelong love of learning.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant early years teaching qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working with young children in an educational setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create and maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Commitment to child safeguarding and welfare.

Preferred

  • Experience with digital tools in education.
  • Knowledge of early years curriculum and child development.
  • Experience in leading and mentoring other practitioners.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding policies and procedures.
  • Experience in supporting children with additional needs.
