The Opportunity:
We are seeking a dedicated Early Years Learning Support Assistant to join our team and support children in both adult-led and child-initiated learning through play. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in an expanding and innovative early years setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children in adult-led and child-initiated learning through play-based activities.
- Work flexibly and creatively to meet the needs of young learners.
- Contribute to the delivery of a well-regarded Early Years provision across the nursery.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
- Participate in the wrap-around care programme, ensuring a seamless experience for pupils and their families.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individual learning plans.
- Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for all children.
- Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Relevant experience working with young children in an early years setting.
- A commitment to child safety and welfare, with willingness to undergo appropriate checks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility and a willingness to work across the nursery and with different age groups.
- A valid Right to Work in the UK.
Preferred
- Experience in a school or early years setting with a blend of traditional and progressive teaching methods.
- Knowledge of early years curricula and pedagogy.
- Experience working with children aged 2 to 3 years.
- A passion for early childhood education and development.
- Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a collaborative school culture.
