The Opportunity:

We are seeking a dedicated Early Years Learning Support Assistant to join our team and support children in both adult-led and child-initiated learning through play. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in an expanding and innovative early years setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support children in adult-led and child-initiated learning through play-based activities.
  • Work flexibly and creatively to meet the needs of young learners.
  • Contribute to the delivery of a well-regarded Early Years provision across the nursery.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
  • Participate in the wrap-around care programme, ensuring a seamless experience for pupils and their families.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individual learning plans.
  • Maintain a safe and nurturing environment for all children.
  • Support the school’s commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant experience working with young children in an early years setting.
  • A commitment to child safety and welfare, with willingness to undergo appropriate checks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility and a willingness to work across the nursery and with different age groups.
  • A valid Right to Work in the UK.

Preferred

  • Experience in a school or early years setting with a blend of traditional and progressive teaching methods.
  • Knowledge of early years curricula and pedagogy.
  • Experience working with children aged 2 to 3 years.
  • A passion for early childhood education and development.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a collaborative school culture.
