Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging activities for children aged 2-4 to support their learning and development.
  • Provide high standards of care and education while adhering to all policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with the Headteacher, Nursery Manager, and other Early Years staff to ensure a cohesive approach to teaching and learning.
  • Monitor, assess, and report on children’s progress in line with Early Years Foundation Stage guidelines.
  • Support the school’s mission by contributing to events and maintaining strong relationships with parents and colleagues.
  • Create a positive and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity and confidence in young learners.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of early years education and participate in professional development opportunities.
  • Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children in the nursery at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Level 3 in Early Years Education.
  • Experience of working in a nursery setting.
  • Ability to monitor, assess, and report on children’s progress.
  • Commitment to continuing professional development.

Preferred

  • Experience with the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Strong team working abilities and a positive, child-centred approach.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary of £12.60 per hour / £26,208.00 pa.
  • 5% employer pension contribution.
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and time off between Christmas and New Year.
