The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, play-based activities that stimulate curiosity, creativity, and early language development.
  • Create a safe, caring, and responsive environment that supports each child’s physical, emotional, and social well-being.
  • Implement a Reggio Emilia-inspired approach, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual child needs.
  • Monitor and document children’s progress through regular observations and communicate effectively with families.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and teaching assistants to ensure consistency and quality in early years provision.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with parents and keep them informed and involved in their child’s learning journey.
  • Participate in ongoing training and reflective practice to maintain high standards in early childhood education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified Early Years Teacher or equivalent recognised certification.
  • Proven experience working with children aged 2–3 years.
  • Warm, patient, and nurturing approach to working with young children.
  • Understanding of early childhood developmental milestones and play-based pedagogy.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in an international or bilingual school setting.
  • Familiarity with Reggio Emilia or similar child-led, inquiry-based educational approaches.
  • Fluency in Italian; ability to communicate in both English and Italian is an advantage.
