Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences that align with the IB PYP framework
  • Foster a caring and inclusive classroom environment that promotes intellectual curiosity and personal growth
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum that supports student achievement and well-being
  • Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
  • Support the school’s mission by promoting intercultural understanding and global citizenship in all aspects of teaching
  • Contribute to the professional development of the Early Years department through shared learning and innovation
  • Maintain effective communication with parents and stakeholders to ensure a cohesive approach to student learning

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A Bachelor of Education degree or an initial degree with a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, PGDE)
  • Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in Early Years, preferably within an IB curriculum school
  • Strong understanding of the IB PYP framework and Approaches to Teaching
  • Commitment to the IB Learner Profile values and the school’s mission
  • Ability to work effectively in a diverse, non-selective community

Preferred

  • Experience teaching the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP)
  • Advanced qualifications in education or related fields
  • A genuine passion for fostering intercultural understanding and global citizenship
  • Demonstrated ability to continuously improve teaching practice and student outcomes
