Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences that align with the IB PYP framework
- Foster a caring and inclusive classroom environment that promotes intellectual curiosity and personal growth
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum that supports student achievement and well-being
- Monitor and assess student progress to ensure continuous improvement and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
- Support the school’s mission by promoting intercultural understanding and global citizenship in all aspects of teaching
- Contribute to the professional development of the Early Years department through shared learning and innovation
- Maintain effective communication with parents and stakeholders to ensure a cohesive approach to student learning
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A Bachelor of Education degree or an initial degree with a relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, PGDE)
- Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in Early Years, preferably within an IB curriculum school
- Strong understanding of the IB PYP framework and Approaches to Teaching
- Commitment to the IB Learner Profile values and the school’s mission
- Ability to work effectively in a diverse, non-selective community
Preferred
- Experience teaching the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP)
- Advanced qualifications in education or related fields
- A genuine passion for fostering intercultural understanding and global citizenship
- Demonstrated ability to continuously improve teaching practice and student outcomes
