The Opportunity:

As an Early Years Teacher, you will play a vital role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This is an opportunity to shape the early educational experiences of children in a dynamic and supportive school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a class of children, recognising each child as an individual.
  • Deliver high-quality teaching and learning, ensuring standards of learning and pastoral care are maintained.
  • Create a classroom environment that supports and enriches learning.
  • Promote the school’s aims through effective teaching and learning practices.
  • Assess and provide educational provision that meets individual pupil needs.
  • Contribute positively to the school’s ethos and support the school’s plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, parents, and the local community.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in planning and sharing best practice.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and successful completion of the Induction programme.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and Early Years Foundation Stage for England.
  • Experience teaching in a mainstream UK school or an MOD school in the Foundation Stage.
  • Ability to set high expectations and ensure good progress and outcomes for pupils.
  • Experience in planning and teaching well-structured lessons and making accurate assessments.
  • Adapt teaching to meet the needs of all pupils.
  • Manage behaviour effectively to create a safe and positive learning environment.
  • Contribute positively to the wider life and ethos of the school.

Preferred

  • Experience with collaborative planning and curriculum development.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement subject-specific resources.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
