The Opportunity:

As an Early Years Teacher, you will inspire curiosity and support individual development in a safe, inclusive environment. You will deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework, while fostering a positive classroom culture and promoting wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, deliver, and evaluate a broad, balanced, and differentiated curriculum in line with the EYFS framework.
  • Create engaging, play-based learning experiences that promote exploration, active learning, and critical thinking.
  • Adapt teaching to meet the diverse needs of all learners and support their personal, social, and emotional development.
  • Collaborate with Teaching Assistants and support staff to observe, assess, and track children’s progress.
  • Provide clear, constructive feedback to parents and maintain effective communication with colleagues and families.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school and engage in continuous professional development.
  • Uphold a strong commitment to safeguarding and promote the welfare of children at all times.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Relevant university degree and a recognised teaching or Early Years qualification.
  • Experience working in an Early Years setting.
  • Strong organisational and classroom management skills.
  • Ability to plan engaging and effective learning experiences for all learners.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding.

Preferred

  • Experience with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.
  • Understanding of early years pedagogy and a proactive, enthusiastic approach to teaching.
