Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences aligned with the EYFS and Reggio Emilia approaches.
  • Plan and implement meaningful lessons that reflect the current interests and development needs of children aged 2–6.
  • Collaborate with Learning Assistants to create a supportive and stimulating classroom environment.
  • Foster strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive and positive learning experience.
  • Maintain a safe, healthy, and inclusive environment that promotes physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Continuously evaluate and enhance learning environments and teaching practices.
  • Support the school’s commitment to sustainability through the use of eco-friendly resources and practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Early Years or Primary education, or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in teaching within the Early Years sector, either in the UK or internationally.
  • Proficiency in the EYFS curriculum and understanding of the Reggio Emilia approach.
  • Strong ability to lead and collaborate with a team of Learning Assistants.
  • Commitment to child-initiated, play-based, and outdoor learning.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a Reggio Emilia-inspired setting.
  • Familiarity with inclusive education practices and supporting children with diverse needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for early childhood development and a creative, flexible mindset.
