As an Early Years Teacher, you will play a key role in shaping the educational journey of young learners through a stimulating and developmentally appropriate programme. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver a challenging, innovative and exciting EYFS curriculum tailored to the needs of Pre-Nursery, Kindergarten 1, and Kindergarten 2 students.
- Create and implement engaging lessons that promote learning through play and support individual development.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that is well-organized and inviting.
- Support and contribute to the outdoor Forest School Educational Program.
- Build strong, nurturing relationships with students and their families to ensure a supportive and engaging learning experience.
- Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining detailed Tapestry Portfolios of Learning to track development and achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues, including the Mandarin co-teacher, to enhance teaching practices and share professional knowledge.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with families to keep them informed of student progress and school activities.
- Participate in school events and activities, including assemblies, parent evenings, and workshops, as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- University degree and a recognized qualification (such as PGCE) in Early Childhood Education.
- Native-level English speaker.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in Early Years education, preferably in an international setting.
- Experience teaching second language learners.
- Knowledge and experience in EYFS curriculum development and assessment.
Preferred
- Experience with the Reggio Emilia Approach.
- Knowledge of and experience in Forest School education.
