Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement engaging, play-based learning experiences in a bilingual environment.
- Collaborate with a team of Chinese and international teachers to deliver a well-rounded curriculum.
- Support the development of children’s English and Chinese language skills through interactive and immersive teaching methods.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.
- Plan and deliver lessons both indoors and outdoors, utilizing the school’s open-plan and flexible learning spaces.
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student growth and development.
- Participate in professional development and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the early years programme.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and colleagues.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A formal teaching qualification with experience in early years or lower primary education.
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to progressive early education.
- The ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
- Familiarity with local Chinese educational standards and international curricula.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in a bilingual setting.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom and school community.
Preferred
- Experience with dual language immersion programmes.
- Background in early years curriculum development or pedagogy.
- Experience in a bilingual or international school setting.
- Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or similar frameworks.
- Proficiency in Chinese and English, with the ability to support language development in both languages.
