The Opportunity:

We are seeking an Early Years Teacher to join a vibrant, bilingual learning community that blends international and Chinese education. Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement engaging, play-based learning experiences in a bilingual environment.
  • Collaborate with a team of Chinese and international teachers to deliver a well-rounded curriculum.
  • Support the development of children’s English and Chinese language skills through interactive and immersive teaching methods.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity and exploration.
  • Plan and deliver lessons both indoors and outdoors, utilizing the school’s open-plan and flexible learning spaces.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student growth and development.
  • Participate in professional development and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the early years programme.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to parents and colleagues.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A formal teaching qualification with experience in early years or lower primary education.
  • A passion for teaching and a commitment to progressive early education.
  • The ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
  • Familiarity with local Chinese educational standards and international curricula.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, particularly in a bilingual setting.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in the classroom and school community.

Preferred

  • Experience with dual language immersion programmes.
  • Background in early years curriculum development or pedagogy.
  • Experience in a bilingual or international school setting.
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or similar frameworks.
  • Proficiency in Chinese and English, with the ability to support language development in both languages.
