The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Early Years Teacher to join our team on a two-term maternity cover starting in January. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners in a supportive and inspiring educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, student-centred lessons using a Reggio Emilia-inspired approach.
  • Support a positive school culture by implementing the school’s Positive Behaviour Policy and pastoral initiatives.
  • Participate in school trips, assemblies, and other activities to enrich the student experience.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure assessment data is used effectively to support student progress.
  • Contribute to staff training and school improvement initiatives.
  • Support extra-curricular activities to enhance student engagement and development.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • A university degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field and a recognised teaching qualification.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience teaching 3–5-year-olds, ideally within a Reggio Emilia-inspired environment.

Preferred

  • A flexible approach and ability to integrate seamlessly into an established Early Years team.
  • Strong understanding of assessment and data tracking to support student progress.
  • Enthusiastic and passionate about early childhood education and inspiring young learners.
