Key Responsibilities:

  • Teach Economics and Business Studies according to departmental schemes of work
  • Prepare and deliver well-resourced lessons appropriate to students’ abilities
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of teaching to ensure continuous improvement
  • Participate in departmental meetings, planning, and the development of school policies
  • Maintain accurate records and submit teaching materials for monitoring and appraisal
  • Communicate regularly with parents and provide written reports on student progress
  • Support students through formative and formal assessments and provide targeted feedback
  • Assist in the preparation of internal exams and schemes of work
  • Attend and contribute to staff development, INSET, and CPD training sessions
  • Cover lessons and invigilate exams as required

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Bachelor of Education or subject degree with PGCE
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Minimum of two years of teaching experience
  • Strong knowledge of Economics and Business Studies
  • Fluency in English

Preferred

  • Ability to assess pupils’ interests, needs, and development
  • Experience in curriculum development and administration
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and technical literacy
  • Cross-cultural work experience
