The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and stimulating lessons in Economics and Business to students of all abilities.
  • Develop and implement detailed schemes of work in line with the school’s high standards.
  • Support students through effective pastoral care and form tutoring responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources.
  • Participate in departmental and whole-school initiatives to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Contribute to the continued development and improvement of the school’s academic and extracurricular programmes.
  • Mentor and support other members of the department where appropriate.
  • Stay up to date with developments in the Economics and Business curriculum and industry trends.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience in teaching Economics and Business at secondary level.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.
  • Commitment to student success and inclusion.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Preferred

  • Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
  • Previous experience as a form tutor.
  • Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
  • Experience with curriculum development and resource creation.
