Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and stimulating lessons in Economics and Business to students of all abilities.
- Develop and implement detailed schemes of work in line with the school’s high standards.
- Support students through effective pastoral care and form tutoring responsibilities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and resources.
- Participate in departmental and whole-school initiatives to enhance teaching and learning.
- Contribute to the continued development and improvement of the school’s academic and extracurricular programmes.
- Mentor and support other members of the department where appropriate.
- Stay up to date with developments in the Economics and Business curriculum and industry trends.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher with a relevant degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Proven experience in teaching Economics and Business at secondary level.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to student success and inclusion.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred
- Experience in leading or contributing to departmental initiatives.
- Previous experience as a form tutor.
- Familiarity with innovative teaching methods and technologies.
- Experience with curriculum development and resource creation.
