Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that challenge and motivate students across Key Stages 4 and 5.
- Maintain strong relationships with students and contribute to their pastoral care.
- Plan and deliver lessons in line with the school’s schemes of work and curriculum requirements.
- Set high expectations for student achievement and provide meaningful feedback to support learning.
- Monitor student progress and continually strive to raise standards of performance.
- Contribute to the development of the Economics and Business department, including curriculum design and sharing of best practice.
- Participate in extra-curricular activities and school events, including trips and boarding responsibilities.
- Fulfil administrative duties efficiently and support students during teacher absences or examinations.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Excellent knowledge and experience of teaching Economics and Business.
- Ability to teach A-Level Economics.
- Proven ability to motivate, support, and challenge students in the classroom.
- Commitment to raising professional standards and sharing good practice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred
- Experience in curriculum development and department leadership.
- Familiarity with international education standards and teaching methodologies.
- Experience in pastoral care or student support.
