Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that challenge and motivate students across Key Stages 4 and 5.
  • Maintain strong relationships with students and contribute to their pastoral care.
  • Plan and deliver lessons in line with the school’s schemes of work and curriculum requirements.
  • Set high expectations for student achievement and provide meaningful feedback to support learning.
  • Monitor student progress and continually strive to raise standards of performance.
  • Contribute to the development of the Economics and Business department, including curriculum design and sharing of best practice.
  • Participate in extra-curricular activities and school events, including trips and boarding responsibilities.
  • Fulfil administrative duties efficiently and support students during teacher absences or examinations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Excellent knowledge and experience of teaching Economics and Business.
  • Ability to teach A-Level Economics.
  • Proven ability to motivate, support, and challenge students in the classroom.
  • Commitment to raising professional standards and sharing good practice.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in curriculum development and department leadership.
  • Familiarity with international education standards and teaching methodologies.
  • Experience in pastoral care or student support.
