The Opportunity:

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality Economics lessons to students across all age groups.
- Develop and implement engaging and innovative teaching strategies.
- Contribute to the co-curricular life of the school and support students through pastoral duties as a Form Tutor.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high standard of teaching and learning.
- Stay up to date with developments in Economics and incorporate these into the curriculum.
- Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them achieve their full potential.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the planning and review of the Economics curriculum.
- Support the school’s mission by fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- A relevant degree and strong academic background in Economics or a related field.
- Demonstrable experience in teaching Economics at a secondary level.
- A passion for Economics and the ability to communicate complex concepts effectively.
- A commitment to pastoral care and willingness to act as a Form Tutor.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience in teaching within both the maintained and independent sectors.
- A willingness to contribute to co-curricular activities and school events.
- Experience with the UK curriculum and examination systems (e.g., GCSE, A Level).
- A track record of professional development and continued learning in Economics education.
