Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Economics lessons that engage and challenge students.
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that support student learning and achievement.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support continuous professional development.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to help students reach their full potential.
  • Stay up to date with developments in Economics and incorporate relevant current events into teaching.
  • Support extracurricular activities and initiatives that promote student engagement and learning beyond the classroom.
  • Work closely with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a consistent and supportive approach to education.

Qualifications & Skills:

Required

  • Qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Economics or a related subject.
  • Proven experience in teaching Economics at the secondary level.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to promoting student achievement and well-being.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across the school.

Preferred

  • Experience working in a selective school or grammar school setting.
  • Experience with curriculum development and assessment strategies.
  • Knowledge of current economic issues and their relevance to the classroom.
  • Experience in mentoring or supporting new teachers.
