The Opportunity:
As an Education Coach (Teaching Assistant), you will support students in accessing the curriculum through targeted 1:1 and group interventions within the SEMH provision. This role is ideal for someone passionate about making a real difference in the lives of students and contributing to a positive, inclusive school culture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support students in accessing the curriculum through 1:1 and group interventions.
- Deliver targeted emotional and educational support under the guidance of the Provision Manager/Inclusion Lead.
- Work collaboratively with the school team to ensure the well-being and academic success of students.
- Develop and implement strategies to support students with SEMH needs.
- Monitor and report on student progress and outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of inclusive practices and policies.
- Attend relevant training and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of student support and interventions.
Qualifications & Skills:
Required
- Qualified teacher or relevant educational background.
- Experience working with students with SEMH needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
Preferred
- Experience in delivering 1:1 and group interventions.
- Knowledge of inclusive education practices.
- Experience in a school or educational setting.
- Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection policies.
